The front porches give the homes of Independence a smaller, friendly community feel. The home to the left is a Stanford Georgian style home. This style/model home has the 2 car detached garage in the rear of the home.

The newest section of the neighborhood offers tile roofs near Lake Hancock.

A Carriage House shown to the left, is built over the 2 car detached garage and offers 1 bedroom and a bathroom in addition to the house. This feature is pretty unique to Independence! There were approx 35 homes with carriage houses built in Independence.

This type of design is desirable since the plan offers a great space for a home office, bonus room for guests, kids or older adult children. The carriage style home is not being built in Phase II.

This is a sample of a "Dartmouth" style home with a lovely stylish porch, contemporary high ceilings and attached 2 car garage.

This home is a "Georgia Georgian" home. This home has a 2 car detached garage in the back. This style home is a 3 bedroom with a loft and there is also a 4 bedroom option.

Some of the home styles offer attached garages, some offer detached garages with a carriage house over the garage or detached garages behind the home. Independence is made up of residential single family homes, townhomes, semi-attached lakefront homes and future apartments.
